Property Sector 'Buoyant'

The recent slump in the value of local companies listed on the Doha Securities Market does not reflect the underlying strength of Qatar’s economy, HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani said yesterday. He said the credit market in Qatar had sufficient liquidity to keep the real estate sector growing. He said that growth in Qatar’s real estate sector was in tune with the needs of the local market.
I have no fears over our real estate market. It is a local-orientated one.”
